Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital

Amanda Bonner-Cramer, Receptionist & Veterinary Technician

Receptionist Amanda Bonner-Cramer joined the Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital team in May 2009, bringing approximately six years of experience in an animal-related field. Her job responsibilities consist of scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, assisting clients with questions and product recommendations, filling prescriptions, taking X-rays, setting up labs, and assisting Dr. Robertson during appointments. She holds a bachelor's degree in Network and Communication Management from DeVry University.

"The team at Cobblestone works together to assist each animal in any way possible," she says. "We all share the same love for animals and that unites us in our quest to heal the sick, fix the broken, and vaccinate those that are in need."

Amanda lives on six-and-a-half acres in the Ozark area and shares the land with several different pets, including her dogs Stroker, Diesel, Toodles, Ziva, and Beckett; and her cats Jaded, Emerald, Bob, International, and Johnna. She also has eight goats, four cows, a donkey, a potbellied pig, and several chickens.

"My free time is spent chasing my three kids, Weston, Montana, and Irely, around the house," she said. Amanda also grows produce for local farmer's markets in a high-tunnel greenhouse and has the occasional moment to read or watch Netflix.

Andrea Denbow, Receptionist

Andrea joined the Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital team as a part-time receptionist in June 2016. Her duties include scheduling appointments and interacting with clients, which is the aspect of the position she loves the most.

"I really enjoy all the people I work with," she says. "Everyone is nice and friendly. The atmosphere is always happy and the clients are great."

She has an associate of art degree and is currently enrolled at Missouri State University where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in animal science. Prior to working at Cobblestone, Andrea worked as a stable hand for a year.

At home, Andrea has a 10-month-old boxer named Rousey and a 2-year-old cat named Puddles. In her free time, she likes walking her dog, going on float trips, fishing, spending time with family and riding horses.

Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital

Cassidy Bohanan, Receptionist & Veterinary Assistant

Full-time receptionist and Veterinary Assistant Cassidy Bohanan re-joined our team in June 2015. Having formerly worked at Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital from 2005 to 2008, she is excited to be back.

"I can honestly say I love our doctors and my co-workers," she says. "It is a great place to work, which makes it so easy to go to work every day!"

Cassidy is responsible for assisting our veterinarians during appointments, as well as checking patients in and out, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, filling prescriptions, and helping clients with their pets during their visit. Her favorite part of the job is working with animals.

Cassidy has two "furry kiddos" of her own at home: a mixed breed puppy and a Boxer-Rhodesian Ridgeback. She enjoys watching her son play baseball and her daughter do gymnastics, as well as being outdoors gardening or hiking.

Christine Van Essen, Receptionist & Bather

Christine Van Essen has worked in different veterinary clinics since she was 17 years old, and has been a member of the team at Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital since our opening day in 1997.

"Dr. Robertson is the best I have ever worked for," she says. "His diagnostics are awesome, he is easy to work for, and he treats every animal that visits us as if it were his own."

Christine is fun and humorous and thoroughly enjoys talking with our clients and playing with their pets when she gets the chance. Her responsibilities include answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, educating clients, and giving our canine patients baths.

At home Christine has three dogs (Cooper, Blue and Toby), three cats (Ming Ming, Boocey and Squatter), 35 chickens, two frogs, fish, guinea pigs, and bees! She enjoys cooking, arts and crafts, movies, and family time.

Kate Summerhill, Receptionist

Receptionist Kate Summerhill joined our team in October 2014 and has been making us laugh ever since. "I'm pretty funny!" she says.

Kate's responsibilities include answering incoming calls, setting appointments and interacting with our clients. She is attending Ozarks Technical Community College and plans to transfer to Missouri State University.

Her favorite part of the job is interacting with clients and their pets. "I enjoy the clients and seeing their pets, but I also enjoy the people I work with," she says.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys cooking, singing, and watching movies. She has a seven-year-old Lhasa Apso named Frisco.

Lexi, Receptionist & Veterinary Assistant

Lexi joined the Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital team in February 2012. She is working toward her Bachelor's degree in Biology at Missouri State University. She plans to apply to veterinary school once she has completed her undergraduate studies.

At Cobblestone, Lexi is responsible for checking patients in and out, answering incoming calls, walking dogs and performing toe nail trims. She enjoys interacting with the animals more than anything else.

"I enjoy the clients and animals that come in," she says. "I especially like to see animals go from being very sick to feeling much better and returning to their normal routines at home."

Lexi has two dogs, Sydney and Smokey. She also has a horse named Moose who she barrel races. She enjoys spending time and hiking with Sydney, trail riding, and traveling.

Sarah Kendrick, Veterinary Assistant & Receptionist

Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist Sarah Kendrick has been a member of the Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital team since May 2006.

"Cobblestone has been my one and only job," she says. "I love working at Cobblestone. My coworkers are awesome and Dr. Paul is a great boss, which makes coming to work easy and enjoyable."

Sarah is responsible for assisting our veterinarians, answering incoming calls, and helping our clients at the front desk. In addition to seeing everyone's pets coming through the door, Sarah especially enjoys helping with critical cases. It's rewarding when pet and owner can leave satisfied and on the road to recovery.

Sarah loves to laugh, joke, ride horses, and take her dogs on hikes. She has a Jack Russell named Bucc and a Lab-mix named Marley. She also has three indoor cats (Clark, Tippy and Bruno), two barn cats (Pumpkin and Patches), and two horses (Sugar and Scooter).

Shelby Pardoe, Receptionist & Kennel Technician

Receptionist and Kennel Technician Shelby Pardoe joined our team in August 2013 and already feels like her coworkers are a second family.

"(My) coworkers are extremely supportive and respectful of everyone," she says. "Even though we have a professional work environment, there are days that are extremely fun, too."

Shelby's responsibilities include answering incoming calls, walking our canine patients and boarders, and cleaning up the hospital after closing.

"I love getting to meet every different animal that comes in to board," she says. "Every dog and cat has a unique personality that I enjoy learning about."

Shelby is working toward her Bachelor's degree in Biology, while also minoring in Chemistry, at Missouri State University. She enjoys baking, going to the lake, fishing, and tubing. At home, she has a 10-year-old West Highland White Terrier named Maddie; a seven-year-old Shih Tzu-Bichon named Mollie; and a six-year-old "tuxedo cat" named Felix.

Clair Robertson, Kennel Assistant

Clair joined the kennel team at Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital in July 2016. Her responsibilities include cleaning kennels and cuddling dogs, the latter of which she enjoys the most about her position at the hospital.

"Everyone at the hospital is very nice. It feels like one big family," she says.

This is Clair's first job. She is currently attending high school.

At home, Clair has a variety of pets: Isaac, a newt; a cat named Tiger; a dog named Blue Blue; and several frogs. In her free time, she enjoys taking care of plants, drawing and spending time with her friends.

Taylor Veach, Receptionist

Taylor joined the receptionist team at Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital in July 2016. Her responsibilities include scheduling appointments and assisting clients and their pets. One of her favorite parts of her role at the hospital is checking in with clients and relaying funny stories to them about their pets.

"The minute you walk into Cobblestone it radiates warmth. It feels awesome when you can tell your friends and family how much you love your job. Playing with puppies and kittens all day never gets old."

She is currently enrolled at Ozarks Technical Community College. At home, she has a 6-year-old West Highland terrier named Gibby. In her free time, Taylor enjoys going to hockey games, listening to country music and spending time with her three roommates.

Tiffany Lile, Veterinary Assistant

Veterinary Assistant Tiffany Lile has been with Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital since April 1999.

"The compassion and experience of our doctor is second to none," she says of Dr. Robertson. "The care he gives for all of the animals he sees is unmatchable even if the odds are against him. Who wouldn't want to work for a person like that?"

Tiffany says her favorite part of the job is "all of it." This includes assisting our veterinarians, keeping our patients distracted during their examinations, assisting in surgery, drawing blood, running lab work, and conversing with our clients.

At home, Tiffany has four cats (Bo, Oscar, Hotdog and T-Money), two dogs (Scooby and Hitch), and "a multitude of cows and horses." She enjoys raising cattle, farming, going to the creek, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
